My family has made its home in Arlington since 2013. I have two children in Arlington Public Schools, a senior at Yorktown and a 10th grader at HB Woodlawn.
My husband and I grew up in Northern Virginia and we are proud graduates of Virginia's public K-12 schools and universities.
I've spent my career working in education, beginning in the classroom teaching high school English and Biology. Later I worked at PBS developing online content and services for K-12 teachers and students, and ultimately leading its national education division. I’ve also worked with several local and national education nonprofits, helping them analyze, advocate for and implement good education policy and programs.
I currently work for The Jed Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for teens and young adults.
