About Me:

Picture
My family has made its home in Arlington since 2013. I have two children, a sophomore at Yorktown and an 8th grader at Kenmore.

My husband and I grew up in Northern Virginia and we are proud graduates of Virginia's public K-12 schools and universities.

I
've spent my career working in education, beginning in the classroom teaching high school English and Biology. Later I worked at PBS developing online content and services for K-12 teachers and students, and ultimately leading its national education division. I’ve also worked with several local and national education nonprofits, helping them analyze, advocate for and implement good education policy and programs.

I currently work for TED creating online courses for lifelong learning. If you’re looking for a good TED Talk to watch, I’d recommend Yifat Susskind’s “In uncertain times, think like a mother.” If you want to watch one that’s both really funny and practical, check out Nigel Marsh on "How to make work-life balance work."
